Alfred Boafo Bunna
In addition to my academic qualifications, I hold a Mental Health Counselor Associate license from the state of Rhode Island. This license permits me to provide professional counseling and mental health services to those in need. Throughout my practicum and all three phases of my internships, I demonstrated my ability to provide compassionate and effective care to my clients, aiming to improve their overall well-being.
Throughout my academic and professional career, I have actively participated in volunteer work. I understand the importance of contributing to the community and making a positive impact on the lives of others. In Worcester, I have volunteered with organizations such as MM Therapy and several local congregations, where I have had the opportunity to contribute to the well-being of others.
Through my volunteer activities, I have had the privilege of directly interacting with individuals in need. I have performed various responsibilities, such as educating church members on mental health issues, coordinating community outreach programs, and offering emotional support to individuals in crisis. These experiences have allowed me to develop valuable skills such as empathy, compassion, and resilience. Volunteering has not only enabled me to make a positive impact on others’ lives but also maintained my passion for volunteer work and my active pursuit of opportunities to continue making a difference.
